The lower mounting screw provides a ground path for the unit and the mounting frame makes a poor conductor over time and maybe you are loosing the ecu ground. You may want to add a ground strap from the lower mounting bolt of the ecu to the left head. You say you have a digijet without a oxygen sensor, I have never seen one like that. You may want to try and wrap / cover the ecu, coil and coil electronic unit with plastic bag to keep it dry. Darrell
