Now having rebuilt the clutch master cylinder......yes, it's starting to get cold in Virginia. (The start of my fall season begins with a hydraulic system failure.) I'm still having trouble getting into first gear. I figured out last night that if I pushed the shifter down, and around the reverse lockout, I could get first. Bentley mentions changing front shifting box if the problem persists on the earlier vans (mine's an '80). Has anyone done this in case my adjustments won't work?

TIA, patrick
