Those things get old and won't close sometimes when filled. This happened to me when I let some yahoo at a uhaul place try and fill it. I took my van to a REAL propane company called AmeriGas. The guy there had a simple solution, screw another filler valve on top of the old one. Says they do that sort of thing all the time. Had several in stock. Then if and when I replace my tank, I'll have a backup filler valve just in case. The guy at AmeriGas felt bad cause he had to charge me alot for the thing, being solid brass and all. Around $35 or so. I paid him without thinking twice. Works perfectly, over a year so far. "Got Gas?"
