Howdy, Some talk has brough me to ask this question: What is causing my idle to "bob" up and down and how do I fix it? It is an '86. At idle, around 900rpm it bobs up and down from about 850 to about 1100 and really bugs me. It is a relatively quick thing (a bob not a surge). When I disconnect the idle stabilizer it seems to go away but same is true when I disconnect the little, upside down black box next to and connected to the right side intakes (I think it is called the idle control and had two allen screws facing up for adjustment - mine are corroded of course!). Which, if either is it? Eric |
