Hi Ken,
The stuff I added is an oil detergent....I wouldn't even think of adding
anything with Teflon or slick 50 or anything thick. CD-2 has the
consistency of 20w motor oil and probably works something like Mystery Oil.
I would like to stress that your right in the sense that I would not
recommend putting any additives in your vehicle that has no problems in the
first place.
Also, I added CD-2 with 20w50 motor oil which I would normally add 10w40
because I knew that CD-2 would thin out the oil a bit.
At least in my case bought me some time because the motor has about 10k on
new heads and 100k on the motor.
I hope this clears things up a bit.
