Dear Listees: I have my 86 Vanagon Syncro rear end running gear all apart: CVs, wheel bearings, axle shafts, etc. Boy, those axle nuts were on there! I'm about to put the whole works back together, renewed with new bearings, CVs and all. I wistfully hope for the "VIBRATION" to go away after this. (Both shocks were bad, one outer wheel bearing was loose, and two CVs looked stiff and dry.) My Bentley does not show the torque for the four (4) big bolts which bolt the wheel bearing housing (that big casting which holds the two wheel bearings) to the trailing arms. I want to get this torque correct! Can anybody tell me what the torque should be? Thanks very much. \ o / __o __| \/ | /| __\o \o | / \ |\ /) | ( \ /o\ John Mates, Intel Corp.
