I had recently replaced my coolant level sensor, thinking that it was the cause of a dead LED on my heat gauge(it wasn't). After about a month of driving, a significant leak developed at the sensor. Tried tightening it, no improvement. Replaced with old sensor, no more leak. In comparing the two, the threaded area on the new one appears shorter in length, and the gasket is of a harder substance. I wonder if these replacements(this one is from the Bus Depot) might be inferior to the original equipment? |
