Being a recent member of the list (and new syncro owner), I've been trawling through the vast archive of interesting items which has probably raised just as many questions as they have answered :-) My syncro does not have power steering. What is the panels recommendation on the minimum size after-market steering wheel I should use in place of the Mack one that is fitted (bearing in mind that I'll be changing to 15's with 225/75 BFG ATs)? Is the steering column adjustable (adaptable!) to make it lower? Secondly, does the Mercedes G-Wagen share the same stud pattern and offset as the Vanagon i.e 112PCD / 20mm? I've just had the van tuned as it was maxing out at 65mph last night on the motorway. The timing was set up 8 degrees out and the mixture was almost a fresh air setting! Not only that but the vacuum advance was inoperative. Does anyone have the Bosch (or VW) part number for a replacement (1988 1.9 petrol)? Thanks, Malcolm |
