I have exchanged a couple notes with English language enabled Ray Feussner, who's new e-mail address is rfeussner@gmx.de about his wonderfully clean VW van repowering conversion. He started with a rare 1992 VW LLE German van. Since it is ordinarily assumed that in the German market where he lives, VW stopped selling their rear wheel drive vans before 1992, his van's 1992 model year seems at first blush to indicate it must be a Eurovan front wheel drive vehicle. But LLE stands for Limited Last Edition. It is the style van that in the US would be called a Vanagon. Each of this limited production series came with documentation proving that it was one of this collector's series. Ray decided that an Audi/VW group V6 gas motor would please him more than the original motor, and that's what he drives now. I have invited him to join the Vanagon List. If he puts in an appearance soon, please welcome him aboard. For the moment, I'd prefer to defer to him for providing futher information about his ultra clean and tidy repowered van. John Quote Ray: "It's great to hear from people on the other side of the world that are interested and enthusiastic concerning my van and its conversion !!!" |
