Did you ever saw the low wind resistant roof of SCA? They comes in three dimensions: Very high, adds about 57cm, medium high, provides standing height inside, and another medium high as pop top, if you want to sleep in the roof. This roof extends the windshield in a curve up to the B-pillar, where is the highest point, and continues with a slightly degrade to the rear end. My father owns the fixed medium high, and there is no decrease in speed, but it is more instable on cross wind, compared to regular Vanagons. Helmut '80 Vanagaudi |
