It's much thinner at cold temps. Also check your glow plugs; and make sure your battery is up to snuff (Bigger is really better). You must spin the engine fast enough, to get compression temperatures hot enough to ignite the fuel. My VW's started well without plug-ins, at temps -25F. Synthetic oil will also flow better and lubricate you engine more quickly in severe winter temps during startup. Joel |
