The mud flaps I ordered from Jusk Kampers about a month ago arrived today via the USPO. Total cost for a set of 4 flaps was £69 which comes out to a little less than $120. The parts are genuine VW and were shipped what appears to be original VW packaging (in bags with part numbers). The flaps themselves are black and made from a hard but resilent plastic--not the same hard rubber material as is used for the Westy propane mud flap. They are really more like body trim than traditional truck style flaps. All mounting hardware is included and you don't have to drill any holes in the body sheet metal, I like that. The flaps are held to the vehicle with heavy duty clips that secure the part of the flap that extends along the wheelwell. There is also a metal bracket to secure the other side of the flap. All in all, they look like they will do the job though I wonder how the plastic will hold up to those 50mph gravel road drives in SE Oregon. There is one problem though. My van already has black plastic fender extensions on the trailing edge of the wheelwells that interferes with mounting the mud flaps. Anyone know how to remove these trim pieces?
