When I replaced my front bearing and disc rotor a couple of years ago, I don't remember having to remove the brake line. If I had to I know I'll remember as it would entail bleeding the brake lines and that usually require a lot of yelling and screaming at my dear wife working the brake paddles!! Straighten out a wire coat hanger. Gently remove the caliplers and hang it up snuggly using the coat hanger wire without putting any starin on the brake line. There are lots of nooks and holes in the fender you can hang the calipers on.. like the springs and shock tower etc. Yau-Man Chan 87 GL >>> Jeffrey R <Oxroad@AOL.COM> 11/17 12:03 AM >>> I need to replace my front wheel bearings. Am I supposed to disconnect the brake line from the caliper to remove the caliper to remove the rotor? <clipped> >>> |
