Kent - Jeez, you sound like one who knows how to stir up some lower
bowel contents!!!  I was really taken aback by the obvious
plasmamatation of the Volvo via running into the Vanagon!  It hit home
with me because I am driving me 19yo duaghter's, Allison, '85 760 Turbo
Volvo while Dirty Harry, down in North Georgia, is making my '85GL run
like new!!!  Hell, I thought I was doing the "right" thing via requiring
my oldest two daughters to make the choice between my buying them
Volvos, Mercedes OR 70's pickup trucks RATHER than the current crop of
FWD tin-cans!!!

Me Ex, after the divorce, told me she considered the Vanagon to be an
"unsafe" vehicle because it had no engine in the front to "protect" her
from being crushed in a "head-on"!  So, she continued to never check the
oil level OR the coolant level (as was her normal pattern of behavior)
and blew the shit out of the SECOND engine I had to have put in for
her!!!  Anyhow, she finally got herself a Chrysler mini-van and gave me
the Vanagon.

I emailed her the pics of the devastated Volvo and it made NO
impression.

BEWARE, all you single dudes!!!  Ex-married women WILL not believe
anything you tell them!!!  DRIVE your VW Vans around all you want.  ANY
woman who expresses ANY dislike for your  van you can IMMEDIATELY
DISCOUNT as any possible future prospect for a really sensual, sexual,
prospect for marriage OR long-term romance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I speak from experience!!!  I am addicted to sailing.  IF any woman asks
you "just how fast will this boat go". consider her to be anathema!
