Subject: front end work -- advice?

Hi folks -- I'm headed out to the driveway to replace as much of the front end goodies as I can in the next four hours or so. I have four new ball joints and two new tie rod assemblies and new axle nuts. I have a home-made hydraulic press and a welding torch to make whatever kind of weird stuff needs making (hopefully none...).

I've been reviewing the Bentley which of course doesn't contain much detail (ever read a Honda manual? Now that's a REAL manual... wish Bentley did such nice work), and I expect to run into trouble at every step, here in the Salt Lake, which was actually named after the corrosive qualities and quality of maintentance of the winter road surfaces. Yes, that's true! Surely you don't doubt the accuracy of my research?

If you have hints, tricks, care to offer condolences or are willing to notify my next of kin, do let me know. Salt Lakers are invited to drop by... I have at least a couple sixpacks of some pretty decent whole-grain homebrew and lots of mead to sample.... can you say "bribe"? heh heh...
