Try  some Marvels Mystery Oil (Not the top lube stuff....but the genuine
penetrating oil -- Available throught ACE Hardware Stores and others......
usual disclaimers!!) on those axle nuts. That has worked for me at times
when nothing else would. If that doesn't do it,  try heating them, then
apply  candle wax to the edge where the nut and threads contact. As the
metal cools it sucks the wax down into the threads. Makes them  slick.

One final thing to try. Once I had a problem nut on an airplane. I
discharged a CO2 extinguisher on it and dropped the temperature of the nut
and the bolt way down. Then I rapidly heated the nut, and put turning
pressure on it while there was still temperature differential between the
two.

 It worked! But was kinda expensive, what with having to recharge the fire
extinguisher.!
