Hello friends: I'm brand new on the list with an '82 Westy, only 108K miles on the current odometer, just purchased as my own version of a mid-life crisis. A few questions: Where is my color code located, what is the name of my color (sort of a creamy yellow, a little bit like Post-It Note yellow where oxidized), and does anybody have a source for spray paint to match? On an unrelated subject, there is a steel peg sticking out from the sliding door interior about two inches from the rear edge of the door. It appears to have no discernible function or reason for existence. It is non-moving, square in section and has a hole in the end. Can anyone tell me what's missing? I have seen the peg (with nothing attached) on other Westies in the junkyard but not on regular vanagons. Yet another question: What is the best way to restore a gloss finish to the fiberglass camper top? It is clean, white, has no holes, but is fuzzy to the touch. Thanks to all for a very useful and interesting list community, and please forgive me if more diligent review of the archives would have answered my questions. Keith in Seattle, kbaldwin@rmlaw.com 82 Westy "Fat Banana"
