Way off subject here...but when I lived in Buffalo, I saw a Pontiac Fiero at my mechanic's shop that had been modified to hide cigarette cartons for transport into Canada. The guy could fit an incredible amount of smokes behind the bumpers and fenders that were so easily removable/remountable (love that plastic body on metal frame idea). Something like 80-100 cartons if my leaky memory serves. The guy would buy the cigarettes at the local reservation, therefore U.S. taxes didn't apply either! He would make 4-5 trips a year and financed his kids' college educations that way.

He got across the border by always keeping a few cartons on the passenger seat, declaring them as he went across. They never looked any further since the Fiero couldn't haul any "cargo."
