My friend has an 82 rabbit with the door mounted shoulder belt and no lap belt. I thought somebody had taken the lap belts out for some reason, but the car was untouched. Weird. My 81 rabbit pickup has normal three point belts, as did my 83 GTI and 86 Scirocco. Why the 82 rabbit? I don't get it. Sorry, maybe I should be on the watercooled list...
