Subject: Temp. Gauge Problem Fixed :o)

I'd posted earlier about my temperature gauge going up and light flashing...My overflow tank was empty too when I checked it. It wasn't a crack in the expansion tank, it had that when I bought the van this summer, so that had recently been replaced. Maybe they didn't replace the CAP though...cause it turns out it was the cap on the expansion tank that was bad. New cap = $10 = No more temp. gauge problem.

I left the van with my mechanic though for him to drive to and from home for a few days, to see if he could get it to do it's annoying sputtering thing for him (up until now, it's refused to cut out if a mechanic was within a mile of it) and finally FINALLY it obliged. Today on his way to work, it sputtered, cut out and damn near stalled on him. (See! I'm NOT crazy!) He thinks it's the air box, and had one from a donor van at his shop. We'll see tomorrow if that seems to do the trick.
