Subject: Anyone want this heat exchanger? (83.5 Westy)
Comments: To: Vanagon List <vanagon@vanagon.com>

I replaced my blower motor a couple of weeks ago. When I was looking for parts I lucked out at the junk yard and got the entire assembly (vent housing, the works) for $25. Since the "new" one seemed in just as good a shape as the old one instead of taking the blower motor out I just replaced the entire assembly. Things are now working fine but I have the old assembly in the garage taking up space and I am about to throw it away. If anyone wants it they can have it for the price of shipping. As I was not too careful removing it the caseing is pretty much unusuable (mounts broken off) and the motor in there is DEFINATELY shot. There is, however, the heat exchanger which should be in good shape. If anyone wants the heat exchanger alone I will try to remove it so as to make the shipping costs less, otherwise the entire thing goes in the trash.
