Apology gladly accepted. It was a "last straw" response and I, too, apologize for overreacting.

Yes, I absolutely do want comments and feedback. But I think p-mail is the most appropriate medium. (Again, you're welcome to e-mail me at home, ron@netcarrier.com, if you feel that I should read it personally.) In my opinion (and with great fear of stirring up the "list police" thread), the Vanagon list is indeed an appropriate place to air a legitimate gripe with any vendor, AFTER attempts to resolve the situation directly with the vendor have failed, so that other members can be warned. But to take every minor gripe directly to the list, without even trying to p-mail first, seems a bit unneccessary. If everyone who got a busy signal when they called the Depot last month, or suffered a minor backorder on a part, wrote to the list about their inconvenience, the list would indeed become the Bus Depot Order Status Mailing List (and would be so boring that even I'd unsubscribe! :-).

Now, can we get back to talking about our Vanagons?? :-)
