And this will be MY last public comments on this matter too. HOpefully NO one is interested at this point, and are deleting all posts related to this thread! ;)

>My simple statement (which was not a demand) was expressed out of concern that

Your simple statement was in all CAPS. That is known as "yelling" and is not a "humble request". And this is proven by the fact that when your "request" was refused, you didn't accept it and go away. It was an demand.

>you are unwittingly turning the list into a commercial complaint line. >You are >wasting bandwidth and clogging mailboxes with a what is nothing more than a >commercial dispute. Is this really the appropriate forum to resolve customer >complaints. Are you really proposing that all problems with bus depot >orders now

I have no idea how you can interpret the combined experiences with vendors who deal with Vanagons, whether on the list or not, NOT appropriate to the list. Some of the MOST valuable info is which vendors are good, bad, or having problems. Many listees aviod bad experiences with this kind of info. That has been a prime service of this, or any, mail list.

>be e-mailed directly to the list for full and public resolution? What >fun! I >can't wait. A simple comment or report is one thing, but briefs have been >filed >in this dispute...and they keep coming. Imagine if just five more people did >this...what a mess. sorry if my choice of words was not the best, but i >tried

No, it's NOT a waste of BW. And if 5, 10, or 100 contributed to this thread it would only serve to GIVE MORE INFO on a valuable topic.

But once again, why do you feel so compulsed to read every post? And has it ever occured to you that there might be MANY other listees who want to hear this kind of input? Do you think that ONLY your intrests are to be served?

I never said you can't vent your comments, I only said that I find them to be without merit, and your request is not going to be honored by me!

And in the ultimate act of hypocrasy, while criticising me for wasting BW you have insisted on carrying out this thread in the public forum.

What more perfect example of an exchange which should be private? Obviously if YOU ARE invloved, it must be important to the whole list.

I would call that self-centered and self-righteous. But that is the HALLMARK of the censor, the presumption that HE KNOWS the standards for everyone else.

If you need to continue this, please email me privately, and we can butt heads till the cows come home!

James
