Happens regularly here in Vancouver. There is an aftermarket conversion place called GTRV that turns any van in to a camper with a Westy type conversion. I have seen an Aerostar and a Plymouth Voyageur converted, including pop top, but they will do any van. Their specialty is converting VW Transporters (cargo version of EV). You end up with a Westy type conversion for about C$10,000 less than the Eurobago. The Transporter comes with a gas or diesel motor. The conversion is very similar to a Westy/Eurobago. A neighbour has one and is delighted with it. I have "toured" it and find it very comparable.
