It sounds like the classic leaky hydraulic system. The only adjustment that's available is at the master cylinder, but that's one of those "set it once and forget it" type of things. It's time to fix the leak, most likely the slave cylinder if you're not noticing dampness on the carpet beneath your feet.

I'd say do them both since my experience, and the experience of others as reported on the list, is that they tend to fail more or less at the same time.
