Well, this past weekend, I made it up to New Brunswick and picked up my 1985 Crew Cab Vanagon. The drive back to Washington, DC was long but (thankfully) boring. I drove down I-95 South the whole way, as traffic seemed light on Saturday. I only encountered a brief delay going through NYC, where traffic slowed to 20MPH before the GW bridge. Only cost me 15 minutes or so, as my best guess.

When I originally posted, asking for helping hands in case I broke down along I95, I rec'd over 25 replies, complete with phone numbers and addresses! For all that supplied info - THANK YOU!!!. It was a great comfort to know that I had places to turn in case of problems. Proves to me what a useful resource the list and it's members are.

Updates on the trip are available at http://www.relitech.com/tomc/tomvw.htm

Click on the Crew Cab link for photos and info.

Once again, Thanks to all for the suggested directions and advice!
