As I recall (others please chime in if I'm wrong) it takes about 16 feet of hose to do the job. You need 7mm hose, specifically the high pressure injection type. The proper part number is N20281, I believe. I just noticed that my local FLAPS is now stocking it. His e-mail is mailto:\\parts@t-hoff.com if you want to e-mail him for a quote. He also stocks the special clamps that are used by VW on those hoses. Beware though, that the hose is expensive, and so are the clamps. But it is cheap insurance in the long run if you can avoid a fire.

Hello all,

I am planning on replacing the fuel lines on my 84 westy (1.9). I hate to bring this topic up again, but I have searched the archives and can't find out what size & how much fuel line to purchase. Are there any other parts I need to complete this job?

Thanks for the help, Mike D.
