OK I have just mystically come upon two, 5 speed South African transmissions for the Vanagon. They have the 5-cylinder bellhousing and can be bolted right onto a 5 cyinder motor or you can swap the bellhousing with the waterboxer tranny and put this trans in any 2wd Vanagon. The transmissions are $1650 each and are brand new. Here are the gear ratios fresh from South Africa 1st - 4.11:1 2nd 2.33:1 3rd 1.48:1 4th 1.023:1 5th .816:1 Reverse 3.667:1 Differential 4.57:1 The first two folks to email me and say that they are sending the money will get the transmissions. I can't say when I will get any more so this might be a one shot deal. Please let me know if you are interested. Ken Wilford Van-Again John 3:16
