As the co-owner of both a Vanagon and a Volvo( my wife's fourth one, the last was totaled by an Astrovan wheel in the front windshield at 70 mph) I feel very safe in either one. I just try to keep in mind that I'm not Superman and if I hit something hard enough I am going to bleed a lot all over the interior of my vehicle. Just my two cents worth of bandwidth
