You can use the nifty gear ratio/speed calculator at David
Marshall's page- www.volkswagen.org


Off the top of my head your Van has a .85 4th.  There was
a European only .82 as well.  Also, there are several after-
market 4ths available as well- .80, .77, and .74 that I am
aware of.  The biggest drawback of the 5-speeds is that 1st
gear is a very low 4.11 ratio.  Its nice if you have to pull a tree
stump but is almost useless around town.
