I'm not sure how "long distance" your move is (where are you moving from?), but I am in the process of inquiring about moving our '87 Vanagon Syncro from Pittsburgh to San Diego. Shopping the yellow pages, I got quotes ranging from $1,800. - $2,500. Shopping the internet has resulted in significantly lower quotes. The best so far is the following company with a rate of $950.00: Rob Neal Logistics Manager A-2-B Automobile Moving 888 2-SHIP-A-CAR (That's 888 274-4722) You may want to check out the following address with links to multiple shippers: http://www.movecars.com/toc/find/index.htm If we transport our Vanagon, it won't be until May '99, so if you have any stories to share about your experience, I'd like to hear them. Good Luck! Lynnda Vlach 1987 Vanagon Syncro |
