Yes, I know, this thread died a few weeks ago, but I remembered a story that happened in my town a few years ago. Two girls were driving a VW LT through town. They were young inexperienced drivers, driving a very unfamiliar van. When making a turn, they didn't consider sitting on top of the wheels, nor the width of the LT(15-20 cms wider than a Vanagon). This corner was the corner of a parking lot, where the edges of the lot were finished with concrete blocks, about one feet of height. The result of turning to early - they got the right front wheel on top of the blocks, the LT came to a halt, not going either forward or backward. They needed a tow truck to get it down.
