Well I get frustrated trying to get the right oil level. First I find if the Van has been running I have to take several readings just to get the excess oil out of the dip stick tube so that I can get an unsmeared reading. Okay, I can deal with that. Best to take a reading before starting it up in the morning. But even then I get two different readings depending on weather I look at the top or the bottom of the dip stick. Right now, after changing my oil, the top of the dip stick is slightly above the lower mark while the bottom of the dip stick is above the upper mark, at the twist in the metal. So which is right?
