Maybe it was late again when writing that, but I believe your original tires were Michelin MXLs as were the ones on my van. I've never heard of an MLT.

Also, this thread started by saying that the Michelin MXT was no longer available. This is not correct. Most tire stores don't list them in their guides because they are almost exclusively used on Vanagons. Get the tire dealer to call their distributer and inquire about MXT tires. I had several dealers (5 of 6 I contacted) tell me there was no such thing, but had to admit they learned something after calling the distributer. I paid just over $100 each including balancing, mounting, and tax. Another list subscriber, Mike O'Mara (omaramik@GTE.NET) got Costco (Price Club should be same) to order a set and was able to only pay about $79 each, plus tax. Mike reported the Costco item number is: #66044.

Hmmm? I usually get over 10,000 miles on each change of tire oil. I rarely, if ever, change the tire filters. :)

Regards, Jim Davis PS - don't let the joke about the tire oil fool ya, the remainder of the message is serious.
