I have used ATF to clean out tainted pneumatic and hydraulic systems in
industrial settings to clean out sticking valves. A friend of mine says he
has put it in his F**d truck to clean it out. He says it works. ATF is a
cleaner but, I myself, would not use it. I use Chevron Techron in all my
vehicles.
