Subject: Change gearing on Automatic Transmission?
Comments: To: vanagon@vanagon.com

With all this talk about 5 speeds and changing the gearing on a manual transmission, is it possible to change the gearing on the automatic transmission? I wouldn't mind cruising at a lower RPM than I currently do in my automatic. Is it possible, and how complicated is it, to change the third gear in an automatic transmission? I have no experience with automatic transmissions, so have no idea of the feasibility of this.
