<< Volkswagen 1980 $750 (11/20/98) VW 1980 PICK-UP, 1500 cc diesel, 5 speed, drivable, AC not working. Some surface rust. Spare parts. Needs TLC. $750 obo (941) 646-0802 >> OH MY GOD, ITS A '80 VANAGON SINGLECAB TRANSPORTER FOR ONLY $750 BUCKS!!!! and its a 5 speed too, and has A/C!!!!! There is something wrong on this. There are some early Vanagon Diesel built in 1980, but they are not five speed. And Vanagon Diesels are all 1600 cc. I never heard about a 1500 cc Volkswagen Diesel engine. Additionally, A/C, on my knowledge, wasn't available that times for Diesels.

Up to '82 Volkswagen used steel pipes and I'm sure, they are gone on that vehicle or are leaking coolant.
