Your measurements are indeed correct, but they are meaningless if not explained:

The rear axle flange diameter of 108 mm (part no. 094 517 285 A) was only used on the transmissions with the code letters ALK, AND,ALE, AVR, AVM, AVU You are in SA? I bet your car has no Catalytic Converter?

The 108 flange was not delivered in the US. So 98% of the list members are not concerned, only confused.

The 100 mm axle flanges were delivered with the following tranny code letters: 6PA, 6ZA, AAN, AHF, AKG, AHA, AVL, AVS, AVN, AVK

Eventhough the front inner CVs have a separate part number they can be replaced with the rear CVs of any US Vanagon.

The cheapest way to go of course (for a US list member) is still to just buy a complete new front drive shaft for $220 from me (at VW $1050). These are NEW VW/Lobro parts and are complete with CVs, boots and hardware. Already greased. No mess, just install.
