Jimmy,

It was late last night when I posted the message on Vanagon.com. The tires I have are Michelin XH4. They have a 80,000 mile warranty. And yes, I do have 69,300 miles (approximately 70,000 miles) of wear on them. I have 139,300 some miles on my 1991 Vanagon Carat. The first set of tires were Michelin MLT's which were the factory tires. I got 70,200 miles from them. I am a firm believer of rotating tires every 7,500 miles and changing oil and oil filter every 3,333 miles.

For your info here is the service record of rotation.

Purchase 03/18/94 70,200 miles rotated 07/29/95 76,158 miles 5,958 travelled rotated 01/27/96 83,365 miles 7,207 travelled rotated 07/11/96 90,700 miles 7,335 travelled rotated 12/04/96 98,916 miles 8,216 travelled rotated 04/19/97 106,576 miles 7,654 travelled rotated 08/09/97 113,748 miles 7,178 travelled rotated 12/26/97 121,301 miles 7,553 travelled rotated 05/22/98 128,783 miles 7,482 travelled rotated 10/10/98 136,237 miles 7,454 travelled next rotation 143,737 miles 7,500 appromiatedly travelled next set of tires 150,200 miles

Feel free to telephone Dennis at Almira Tire Service in Lorain, Ohio, at 216-244-1767, and asked him about the guy in the red 1991 Volkswagen Vanagon.

Respectfully, Floyd Truskot
