John - My '85GL is "cool", BUT I really do miss all those funky sounds (and harmonics) my old '62 & '74 used to generate! I picked up a '70 Camper for $400 and have been thinking about how to lash two '91 Harley-Davidson 1200cc engines together and feed them into the transaxle! Can you even contemplate what funky sounds would be generated out of the rear of my camper, powered by an air-cooled V-4 Harley???

My thoughts run along the line of how one can go about utilizing just ONE of the Harley transmissions and putting those Harley horses directly into the VW transaxle! This way, I can have at least 16 different gearing combinations for use in a wide variety of road/trail conditions!!! It'd be hard to beat with the Harley tranny in 1st AND the VW tranny in 1st for those times when you really want to just creep along, you know?

Also, any advice would be appreciated on just how to go about providing for the proper ducting of cool air to keep them Harleys humming.

BOB - '85GL '70 camper - soon to be resurrected!
