Subject: 85 GL - Flooding? Trouble starting in Cold weather
Comments: To: vanagon@vanagon.com

I'm Stranded at Horsepower Buggy Works in Red Lodge, Montana

My 85 Vanagon GL is not starting. The engine is turning over, but it seems to flood after the first or second turn. Then it struggles to pop a few times, but never turns over. It's getting fire, but after a few turns I smell gas. This happens in cold weather. The first turn almost catches, then nothing but rrrumph.....rrrrumph.

Help, one can only enjoy the view of the Beartooth Mountains so much, before one mut get on the road again
