Subject: 91 Westy Captn Driver's Seat Removal and Aux battery?

Hello,

Can some one tell me how to get the entire seat and base out of my 91 Westy Syncro? As noted above, I have a 91 with captains chairs. I can the seat part out no problem, there are buttons and levers for that, but the base is a whole different story. It appears to hang on the release for the swivel base. As a side subject what is a good grease for the slide rails? Mine are bone dry.

Aux battery questions. What a tight fit! I bought the Optima d750u with the side terminals. There is barely any room front to back, so I don't think I will be able to even get to the side terminals. Has anyone done this on a 91 Westy?

Where did you ground your aux battery? How did you connect the wires from the relay to the positive post (top or side)? Did you remove the lid that covers the compartment?

Thanks for your time.

Robyn 91 Westy Syncro.
