I had my 87GL shipped from California to Texas about 4 years ago. Was on a long camping/moving trip and the thing broke down near Placerville. I was financially unable to have it repaired at the time, so I flew back to Houston, leaving my van with a friend. (If I had only known of 'the list' then, I could have contacted one of the Placerville folks!) A couple of months later, I had it shipped to me. I went with the cheapest I could find which was still around $900 bucks. It took about 4-5 days, and despite all my worries of some chop shop running off with my van, it arrived intact with no damage or looting. I was the first scheduled stop, so they arrived at my home at around 4:00 AM in the morning. I had to have cash on hand, no checks or credit cards, and they were very explicit about me being there to meet them or else they would go on... Sorry, don't remember the name of the company. Basically looked in the yellow pages and called several companies to find the best price. Seems to me they were all in that same range.

Good Luck.
