Rob - Shades of TUCKER, you're catching on! Priced a few BMW twins lately? Nah, for this project, methinks good ole American funky iron is best considered. There is nothing that has the sound of a Harley. OR, the funky old air-cooled VW engines, eh? I've found that John, aka Blue Eyes, is the Mr. Funk of Harley engines on the List. I've run some of this past him and am waiting to hear from him. Last contact I had, he lost me with "sprague"(?) gears, torque converters and the like. Also, his suggest of placing the Harley twins upside down (to locate the drive shafts in line with the VW tranny to avoid interfering with the deck height problem) and going to what he calls an oil "dry-sump" system has me confused.
