I'm the one looking for a late 80's vanagon or syncro. Does anyone have any opinions about advantages to a syncro over a regular vanagon (besides the obvious advantage of 4 wheel drive)? Have vanagon owners found themselves stuck in the snow that often? I remember with my old 73' beetle and my old 71 bus, I NEVER got stuck as the engine was over the rear wheels. How about other features that the syncro might have? Are they simply a more rugged vehicle, or is it only the four wheel drive that makes them different? I think I'm leaning towards finding a syncro, but it may just be cuz, well they look EVEN cooler than the reg. vanagons. Thanks for the input, AUstin soon to be the proud owner of a ?? |
