When my '91 Van fans stopped working, it turned out to be the resisters in the overhead unit had to be replaced. Well.... at least that's what the dealer said. ~$300 later, the fan worked.>>

I had the same problem last summer. My fan didn't come on causing the engine to over heat, so I fixed the problem with a new thremo switch. I later had my AC repaired and the fan was still not working with the AC, I had to replace a cracked porcelain whatchamacallit on the driver side under the headlight. I forgot what's it called but I'm sure someone out there will correct me. Once that was replaced the fan worked. Dan 87 Syncro GL Westy 71 Bug Conv
