My old 2CV and R4 where 2 of the simplest most reliable vehicles I have ever
owned... and those days of simplistic motoring (in North America) are really
missed..... sure not much money to be made in vehicles like that for the BIG
car companies.. A vehicle you can fix yourself.... gets 60mpg and is high
enough to go over just about any kind of road or trail...They use to give
you a 2CV if you bought the Full sized Citroen... it was considered the
gardener's / butler's car so they could go shopping and take the family car
in for servicing, and have a ride home... I just love seeing them all over
the place in Europe I don't think that there is one single image that thumbs
it's nose at what has happen to motoring better than the 2CV. I kind of
liked that Saab 3 cyl but it was not that reliable..... Face it..... that T5
just looks like a slow (& expensive) game of catch up with the Outback....
