You could still use the clutches.... once up to speed and on level hwys, you could disengage all but one engine and get better gas mileage & less engine time.... if you had a problem with one engine (like a twin airplane) you could still run on the good one until you could fix the problem.... you could drop an engine off to be fixed and still be able to drive around until you could put it back in..... I also LOVE that sound (Note) you are thinking of for that funk effect.... if the right adapter could be made... any smooth running shaft drive engine could be used... like Goldwing, BMW, Suzuki ... A Syncro with 2 tuned BMW's...WOW!!!!!.... One more round on the house......& Let the dreaming begin.
