It looks as if this was the orginal intention of VW, because you can remove the 2 bolts that create the hindge point in the seats, and the seats will fold down perfectly level from back rest to seat bottom. Now what we need is a creative machinist who can change that bolt into a very sturdy remveable pin. My next big project is going to make my own seat swival. The way I see it the problem is adapting the sliding seat adjustment and the fact that the seat is lower than its own mounting rails. Eric |
