Anyone investigated using a Porsche Sportomatic (4 speed gearbox with torque converter-you shift but have no clutch) which can be had quite cheaply (they were used in the late 60s and 70s and are available used for $200 to $400) for a tranny? How about a Triptronic (new, big bucks, 5speed - shift with no clutch or just leave in "D" and steer)? Eric |
